What information do we collect?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

How do you get my consent?

Shopify

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Security - How do we protect your information?

Purchasing E-Gift Card

  1. How do I purchase Nuichan E-Gift Cards?
    You can purchase Nuichan E-Gift Cards online via our website. Nuichan will only honor Nuichan E-Gift Cards purchased at our website. You cannot use a Nuichan E-Gift Card to purchase Nuichan E-Gift Cards.

  2. Are there any fees associated with the Nuichan E-Gift Card?
    No. You will only be charged the amount mentioned on the Nuichan E-Gift Card.

  3. Can I change the value of a Nuichan E-Gift Card after I have paid for it?
    Unfortunately, the value of the Nuichan E-Gift Card cannot be changed once the purchase is made. 

  4. What payment methods can be used?
    We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Diners Club, Discover and Paypal at the moment. 

  5. When is my credit card charged for my purchase?
    Your credit card will be charged at the time of purchase. 

  6. Can I buy a Nuichan E-Gift Card for myself?
    Yes, you can. Simply enter your email address in the recipient field. Upon completion of the purchase, the Nuichan E-Gift Card will be delivered to your email. 

  7. Can I send two (or more) Nuichan E-Gift Cards to two (or more) people who share an email address?
    Yes, you can. If you want to send separate Nuichan E-Gift Cards to different parties at their shared email address, purchase the Nuichan E-Gift Cards separately and indicate their name and email in the recipient's field. They will receive separate emails advising that you have sent them a Nuichan E-Gift Card.

  8. Can I schedule the delivery date of the Nuichan E-Gift Card?
    Yes, Nuichan E-Gift Cards purchased online can be sent out on a specific date. The default setting of the delivery date is the current date unless a different date is chosen. Once the purchase is complete, the delivery date cannot be changed.

Returns & Credits

  1. How do I cancel the purchase of a Nuichan E-Gift Card?
    Once the payment is made, a Nuichan E-Gift Card purchase cannot be cancelled. Nuichan reserves the right to cancel orders made by unverified and unconfirmed Credit Card accounts.

  2. How will returns on items be handled?
    If you would like to return an item that was purchased by a Nuichan E-Gift Card you will need to contact support at info@nuichan.com

Receiving & Redemption

  1. What exactly does the recipient receive when I send a Nuichan E-Gift Card?
    The recipient receives an email which contains the Nuichan E-Gift Card design chosen during purchase, along with information such as the Nuichan E-Gift Card value and a personalized message. 

  2. When would the Nuichan E-Gift Card I purchased online be sent to the recipient?
    The Nuichan E-Gift Card will be sent to the recipient on the date you chose at the time of purchase.

  3. Where can the Nuichan E-Gift Card be used?
    Nuichan E-Gift Cards can only be used for online purchase at www.nuichan.com. 

  4. When do Nuichan E-Gift Cards expire?
    Nuichan E-Gift Cards do not expire.

  5. Can I add more value to a Nuichan E-Gift Card after purchase?
    No. Once the purchase is complete, you cannot add more value to a Nuichan E-Gift Card.
     
  6. How can I redeem a Nuichan E-Gift Card online?
    Step 1: Ensure that you have your Nuichan E-Gift Card code. 

    Step 2: On the checkout page in the payment option section, enter your Nuichan E-Gift Card code

    Step 3: You will see the Nuichan E-Gift Card amount deducted from your total order. If the Nuichan E-Gift Card value is not enough to pay for your entire order, you may pay for the remaining amount with another payment option.

  7. Can I make partial redemptions?
    Yes. You may select how much you wish to pay with your Nuichan E-Gift Card at the checkout page and pay the remaining amount with another payment option.

  8. Can I redeem multiple gift cards in a single online transaction?
    No. You may not use more than one Nuichan E-gift card in a single receipt, for online purchases.

Security

  1. How do you prevent the email from getting lost as spam?
    We adhere to all industry best practices to ensure successful delivery of the Nuichan E-Gift Card via email. However, there is still a chance that the email will be treated as spam or the recipient will not notice it in their inbox. If a spam filter is blocking our emails from getting to an inbox, the recipient's email options will need to be modified so that our emails are not considered spam.

  2. What if I lose the Nuichan E-Gift Card?
    If you suspect that someone has copied or stolen your Nuichan E-Gift Card, contact Customer Support immediately. Nuichan E-Gift Cards will not be replaced if lost or stolen without the purchaser's confirmation email as proof of purchase. Nuichan E-Gift Cards have cash value and should be safeguarded accordingly. Nuichan will not be liable for redeemed Nuichan E-Gift Cards if they have been stolen. Please do not display your Nuichan E-Gift Card code online.

  3. What if someone makes a copy of my printed Nuichan E-Gift Card and uses it without my authorisation? We will only send the Nuichan E-Gift Card to the recipient stated upon purchase. You will need to safeguard your Nuichan E-Gift Card as it has a cash value. The value of the Nuichan E-Gift Card is tied to the card number. Once the Nuichan E-Gift Card is used, the value of the purchase is deducted from the card. If someone makes a copy of your Nuichan E-Gift Card and redeems the full amount, your Nuichan E-Gift Card will have no value. If you suspect that someone has copied or stolen your Nuichan E-Gift Card, please contact Customer Support.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Redemption
    Nuichan E-Gift Cards are redeemable only for merchandise sold at www.nuichan.com. 
    No fees of any kind will be charged against the unused balance of Nuichan E-Gift Cards.
    Unredeemed value will not be converted to cash.

  2. View your balance 
    You can view your Nuichan E-Gift Card balance when making a purchase. On the checkout page, select Nuichan Gift Card as a payment option and enter your code details. Your card balance would be shown thereafter. 

  3. Refunds 
    No refunds are permitted with respect to cards.

  4. Lost or stolen Nuichan E-Gift Cards 
    If you suspect that someone has copied or stolen your Nuichan E-Gift Card, contact Customer Support immediately. Nuichan E-Gift Cards will not be replaced if lost or stolen without the purchaser's confirmation email as proof of purchase. Nuichan E-Gift Cards have cash value and should be safeguarded accordingly. Nuichan will not be liable for redeemed Nuichan E-Gift Cards if they have been stolen.   5. Limitations 
    You may not use a Nuichan E-Gift Card to purchase other Nuichan E-Gift Cards. Nuichan E-Gift Cards cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value, or redeemed for cash, except to the extent required by law. Nuichan E-Gift Cards are void if they are reloaded, resold, transferred for value, or redeemed for cash. Unused Nuichan E-Gift Cards may not be transferred.We reserve the right to cancel and refund E-Gift Cards related to suspicious activity. 

  6. Our Policies 
    Any claim or dispute between you and Nuichan that arises in whole or in part from the Sites or the Interactive Services shall be decided exclusively by a court of competent jurisdiction located in Thailand. If any provision of these Terms of Use is deemed invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms of Use, which shall remain in full force and effect. No waiver of any term of these Terms of Use shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term, and Nuichan’s failure to assert any right or provision under these terms of use shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. It is the express wish of the parties that these terms of use and all related documents be drawn up in English. To the extent permitted by applicable laws, you and Nuichan agree that any cause of action arising out of or related to the sites and the interactive services must commence within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues. Otherwise, such cause of action is permanently barred. 

  7. Risk of loss 
    Ownership and risk of loss of Nuichan E-Gift Cards passes to the purchaser as soon as we send our confirmation to the recipient. We are not responsible for lost or stolen Nuichan E-Gift Cards. If you have any questions, please refer to the FAQs. 

  8. Customer Support 
    If you need assistance with any aspect of your purchase, ownership, or use of your Nuichan E-Gift Card, please contact Customer Support. Please refer to your order number, or be ready to supply your email address. 

  9. Payment methods 
    Nuichan E-Gift Cards may be paid for with a valid VISA, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Diners Club, Discover and Paypal.

  10. Delivery information and requirements for Nuichan E-Gift Card purchasers 
    All orders and successful delivery of Nuichan E-Gift Cards are subject to the approval of the purchaser's financial institution. Until the transaction is approved, your Nuichan E-Gift Card order may be cancelled or delayed. If the date on which you want a Nuichan E-Gift Card delivered has passed and the recipient has not received an email confirmation with the Nuichan E-Gift Card details, please contact Customer Support. Please refer to your order number, or be ready to supply your email address. We are not responsible for Nuichan E-Gift Cards that are undeliverable or not received due to your failure to enter an accurate email address for the recipient. Please check to make sure the email address of the recipient is correct and contact Customer Support if you suspect the recipient did not receive his/her Nuichan E-Gift Card. 

  11. Reasons for failed delivery 
    If you have confirmed the recipient's email address but the Nuichan E-Gift Card has not been viewed within a reasonable period after the requested delivery date, the following is a list of the most common reasons why delivery may have failed: 
    1. Spam filter blocked email or routed it to a bulk/spam folder. 
    2. Recipient's firewall blocked the email. 
    3. Email inbox has exceeded its size limit. 
    4. Invalid email address. If a spam filter is blocking our emails from getting to the recipient’s inbox, the email options/settings of the recipient will need to be modified so that our emails are not considered spam.

  12. Personalized messaging 
    If you wish to add a personal message to a Nuichan E-Gift Card, simply type your message in the message field upon selecting a card design on the page. Personal messages are limited in length to the space provided on the Nuichan E-Gift Card email. There is no additional charge to include a personalized message. We do not read every gift message, but if we do find inappropriate, offensive or otherwise objectionable messages, we reserve the right to remove them. Thank you for your cooperation. 

  13. Limitation of liability 
    To the maximum extent permitted by law, subject to applicable consumer protection provisions, Nuichan will not be liable for claims or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with your purchase of the Nuichan E-Gift Card including damages arising out of changes to or termination of the Nuichan E-Gift Card program or as a result of you or your recipient redeeming and/or using the Nuichan E-Gift Card. This applies to all damages of any kind, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties.
