This navy blue one shoulder batwing mini dress from our independent slow-fashion studio is a study in asymmetry and drape. One bare shoulder. One sweeping batwing sleeve that extends from the shoulder to the wrist in a single dramatic arc of fluid fabric. Nothing more. Nothing less.
The neckline cuts diagonally from the shoulder across the chest to the underarm in a clean, confident line that exposes the left shoulder completely and frames the neckline with quiet drama. From there the fabric gathers at both sides of the body into a soft, draped cocoon silhouette that sits above the knee, giving the dress an effortless elegance that works equally well standing still and in motion.
The single batwing sleeve is the piece. Wide, generous and utterly fluid, it catches the air with every movement and photographs from every angle with the kind of effortless drama that most occasion dresses spend considerably more money trying to achieve.
